Darren Tate est un producteur et DJ de trance britannique. Il est surtout connu pour son travail au sein du groupe de trance Above & Beyond, ainsi que pour son travail en solo sous le pseudonyme DT8 Project. Tate a commencé sa carrière en tant que DJ en club au début des années 1990, avant de se lancer dans la production musicale au milieu des années 1990. Il a connu le succès avec sa première grande sortie, le morceau "Destination" en 1996, signé sur le label de Paul van Dyk, Vandit Records. Tate a continué à sortir de la musique à la fois sous le nom de DT8 Project et sous son propre nom, et a remixé des morceaux pour de nombreux artistes de renom, dont Madonna, Delerium et Tïesto. En 2000, il a rejoint Above & Beyond, remplaçant le membre original Paavo Siljamäki. Tate a co-produit et co-écrit tous les albums studio d' Above & Beyond, et a co-écrit plusieurs de leurs singles, dont le morceau "Alone Tonight" nommé aux Grammy Awards.
