Tłumaczenie polskie: Raven to brytyjska grupa heavymetalowa pochodząca z Newcastle upon Tyne w Anglii. Została założona w 1974 roku przez braci Johna i Marka Gallagher oraz perkusistę Paula Bowdena. Później do zespołu dołączyli basista Rob "Wacko" Hunter i gitarzysta Paul Airhead. Mimo iż Raven nie odniósł wielkiego sukcesu komercyjnego, miał on ogromny wpływ na gatunki speed metal i thrash metal. Znani są z nich jako "pionierzy speed metalu" i "wynalazcy thrash metalu", ich muzyka charakteryzuje się szybkimi i agresywnymi riffami gitarowymi, virtuozowskimi solami gitarowymi i energicznym występami na żywo. Przez lata Raven wydał 11 studyjnych albumów, w tym najbardziej znane to trzy pierwsze: Rock Until You Drop (1981), Wiped Out (1982) i All for One (1983). Grupa wydała również album koncertowy Live at the Inferno (1984). Mimo że rozpadli się w 1992 roku, reaktywowali się w 1999 roku i dalej koncertują i wydają nowe albumy. Ich ostatni studyjny album, Walk Through Fire, został wydany w 2019 roku.
