Składa się on z dwóch członków: wokalisty i producenta muzycznego, Nicky Romero, oraz producenta i DJ-a, Tiësto. Zespół powstał w 2014 roku i wydał swój pierwszy album, „I Am Hardwell”, w 2015 roku. Następnie Dance Nation wydał swój drugi album, „United We Are”, w 2016 roku.
