Vertaalde biografie in het Nederlands: Van McCoy (geboren op 6 januari 1940 en overleden op 6 juli 1979) was een Amerikaans musicus, platenproducer, arrangeur en componist, gekend als de 'Architect van de Philly Sound'. Hij is het meest bekend om zijn hitsingle uit 1975, 'The Hustle', die miljoenen kopieën wereldwijd verkocht heeft.
