"Raven è un gruppo heavy metal britannico originario di Newcastle upon Tyne, in Inghilterra, fondato nel 1974 dai fratelli John e Mark Gallagher e dal batterista Paul Bowden, successivamente si sono uniti al bassista Rob "Wacko" Hunter e al chitarrista Paul Airhead. Sebbene non abbiano raggiunto un grande successo commerciale, Raven ha avuto una grande influenza sul speed metal e sul thrash metal. Soprannominati "gli innovatori del speed metal" e "i pionieri del thrash metal", la loro musica si contraddistingue per riff di chitarra veloci e aggressivi, assoli di chitarra virtuosi e un'attitudine live energica. Negli anni, Raven ha pubblicato 11 album in studio, tra cui i più famosi sono i primi tre: Rock Until You Drop (1981), Wiped Out (1982) e All for One (1983). Il gruppo ha anche pubblicato un album live, Live at the Inferno (1984). Sebbene si siano separati nel 1992, si sono riuniti nel 1999 e continuano a esibirsi dal vivo e a pubblicare nuovi album. L'ultimo album in studio, Walk Through Fire, è uscito nel 2019."
