Darren Tate è un produttore e disc jockey britannico di musica trance. È noto principalmente per il suo lavoro nel gruppo di trance Above & Beyond, nonché per il suo lavoro solista sotto lo pseudonimo DT8 Project. Tate ha iniziato la sua carriera come DJ in discoteca all'inizio degli anni '90, per poi dedicarsi alla produzione musicale nel corso degli anni '90. Ha ottenuto successo con la sua prima grande uscita, il brano "Destination" del 1996, pubblicato dall'etichetta di Paul van Dyk, Vandit Records. Tate ha continuato a pubblicare musica sia come DT8 Project che sotto il suo vero nome, oltre a remixare brani di noti artisti, tra cui Madonna, Delerium e Tïesto. Nel 2000, ha fatto parte di Above & Beyond, subentrando al membro originale Paavo Siljamäki. Tate ha co-prodotto e co-scritto tutti gli album in studio di Above & Beyond ed ha co-scritto diversi dei loro singoli, tra cui il brano "Alone Tonight" nominato ai Grammy Awards.
