Chicane è un artista musicale britannico, il cui vero nome è Nicholas Bracegirdle. È noto per essere un talentuoso produttore di musica trance ed elettronica. Nato il 28 febbraio 1971 a Londra, ha sempre mostrato un grande impegno per la musica e ha raggiunto una carriera straordinaria. Nicholas ha adottato il nome d'arte Chicane per il suo amore per le gare automobilistiche; "chicane" è un termine utilizzato nello sport automobilistico per designare una curva tortuosa in un circuito. Nel 1996 ha iniziato con l'album "Far From The Maddening Crowds", che include il singolo di successo "Offshore". Il suo secondo album, "Behind The Sun", uscito nel 2000, è stato certificato oro nel Regno Unito e include successi come "Don't Give Up" (con Bryan Adams) e "Saltwater" (con Maire Brennan dei Clannad). Quest'ultimo singolo ha raggiunto la prima posizione delle classifiche dance degli Stati Uniti.
