L'artista musicale RAM, originario di Port-au-Prince in Haiti, è ampiamente conosciuto per aver fuso rock e reggae con ritmi roots haitiani, dando vita a un suono unico e accattivante che ha conquistato fan in tutto il mondo. Il gruppo è stato formato nel 1990 dal cantante principale, Richard A. Morse, che aveva precedentemente trascorso anni a New York e Haiti studiando musica. Il nome "RAM" deriva dalle iniziali di Morse. La loro musica riflette le lotte e le speranze del popolo haitiano e il gruppo non ha paura di esprimersi su questioni politiche.
