"Lush è un gruppo britannico di rock alternativo formatosi a Londra nel 1987. Il gruppo è spesso associato al movimento musicale "shoegazing", caratterizzato da un mix di distorsioni chitarristiche, effetti sonori atmosferici e melodie eteree. Lush è composto da Miki Berenyi (cantante, chitarra), Emma Anderson (chitarra, voce), Phil King (basso) e Chris Acland (batteria). Il gruppo ha acquisito notorietà con la pubblicazione di diversi EP negli anni 1988 e 1989, che hanno consolidato il loro suono unico. Il loro primo album, "Spooky", pubblicato nel 1992 sotto l'etichetta 4AD, prodotto da Robin Guthrie dei Cocteau Twins, è stato ben accolto per la sua combinazione di texture sonore e melodie orecchiabili. Hanno successivamente pubblicato diversi album, tra cui "Split" nel 1994 e "Lovelife" nel 1996, che ha segnato una svolta verso un approccio più pop. Il suicidio del batterista Chris Acland nel 1996 ha portato alla dissoluzione del gruppo pochi mesi dopo. Lush si è brevemente riunito nel 2016 per una serie di concerti e ha pubblicato un nuovo EP, "Blind Spot". Questa riunione è stata seguita da un annuncio di separazione definitiva nel 2017.
