Snow Patrol est un groupe de rock indépendant écossais, originaire de Glasgow. Il est composé de cinq musiciens : Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly, Paul Wilson, Jonny Quinn et Johnny McDaid. Leur musique est marquée par des influences rock, pop et folk. Le groupe a connu un grand succès commercial avec la sortie de leur album de 2006, "Eyes Open", qui a atteint la première place des charts au Royaume-Uni et a été certifié sept fois platine. Leur album suivant, "A Hundred Million Suns", a également été un succès, obtenant une certification quatre fois platine. En 2011, Snow Patrol a sorti son cinquième album, "Fallen Empires", qui a atteint la cinquième place des charts au Royaume-Uni. Un an plus tôt, en novembre 2010, le groupe avait déjà publié un album de compilations intitulé "Up to Now".
