BIOGRAPHY
Tomahawk is an American experimental rock band formed in 1999. The group consists of Mike Patton (vocals), known for his work with Faith No More and Mr. Bungle, Duane Denison (guitar) of The Jesus Lizard, John Stanier (drums) of Battles and Helmet, and Trevor Dunn (bass) of Mr. Bungle and Fantômas, replacing Kevin Rutmanis in 2011.
The group blends elements of rock, metal, punk, and experimentation. Their music is recognized for its originality and avant-garde approach. Tomahawk has released several albums, including their first "Tomahawk" in 2001, followed by "Mit Gas" in 2003 and "Anonymous" in 2007, which explores American Native themes.
The "Oddfellows" album released in 2013 continues to mix musical genres with a simultaneously accessible and complex approach. Their most recent album, "Tonic Immobility", released in 2021, confirms their reputation as an innovative group. Tomahawk stands out for its unique approach to music that defies traditional classifications while captivating a wide and diverse audience.
