Toby Emerson (born October 28, 1988) is an American electronic music producer and DJ. He is best known for his work in the genres of progressive house and electro house.
Emerson was born in San Diego, California, and grew up in Los Angeles. He began his musical career as a drummer in a punk rock band. He later became interested in electronic music and began producing his own tracks. His first release was the track "Get Up" on the Mau5trap label in 2010. The track was featured on the compilation album We Are the Night.
In 2011, Emerson released his first EP, No Place for Us. The EP included the track "Black Sun", which was later used in an advertisement for the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
In 2012, Emerson released his second EP, Colours. The EP included the track "I Remember", which was used in an advertisement for the video game Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
In 2013, Emerson released his third EP, Moments. The EP included the track "Falling", which was used in an advertisement for the film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
In 2014, Emerson released his fourth EP, Parallels. The EP included the track "Open Your Eyes", which was used in an advertisement for the film Divergent.
In 2015, Emerson released his first album, The Space Between. The album included the track "Safe", which was used in an advertisement for the video game Tom Clancy's The Division.
In 2016, Emerson released his second album, Electric Soul. The album included the track "Feel the Rush", which was used in an advertisement for the video game Forza Horizon 3.
In 2017, Emerson released his third album, Universe. The album included the track "Stars", which was used in an advertisement for the video game Destiny 2.
Emerson has also produced remixes for other artists, including deadmau5, Kaskade, and Porter Robinson.
