Steve Jablonsky is an American film, television, and video game music composer. He studied music at the University of Southern California, where he obtained his degree in 1999. After working as an assistant to composer Hans Zimmer, Jablonsky was hired by DreamWorks SKG to compose the music for the science-fiction film The Island (2005). He later worked on several Michael Bay films, including The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Transformers (2007), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), and Transformers: The Last Knight (2017). In addition to his film career, Jablonsky has also composed the music for several video games, including Gears of War (2006), Gears of War 2 (2008), Gears of War 3 (2011), and Gears of War 4 (2016).
