Sophia May is a French musical artist, born in France in 1985. Born into a family of musicians, she began playing the piano at the age of six. After studying classical music at the Paris Conservatory, she went on to study at the Sorbonne University. She then worked as a music journalist for the French magazine Les Inrockuptibles. In 2009, she released her self-titled debut album, which was well received by critics. In 2011, her second album "Le Temps des Fleurs" was even more successful than the previous one. Her third album, "L'Eau et le Vin", released in 2013, was also well received. In 2016, she released her fourth album, which received an even more favorable reception than the previous one.
