Röyksopp is a Norwegian electronic music duo formed in 1998 by Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. The two musicians began working together after being introduced by a mutual friend. They quickly found musical common ground and began producing tracks together. In 2001, they released their first album, Melody A.M., which was a commercial and critical success. Their second album, The Understanding, was released in 2005 and was critically acclaimed. In 2009, they released their third album, Junior, which was well received by both the public and critics. In 2012, their fourth album, Senior, was also well received. In 2015, their fifth album, The Inevitable End, was well received by both the public and critics.
