BIOGRAPHY
Robert Lidstroem is a Swedish artist born in 1966 in Stockholm. Coming from a family of musicians, his mother was an opera singer and his father a trombonist. He began his musical career playing the trombone in the Stockholm Youth Orchestra, before studying piano and composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Graduated, he worked as a pianist and composer for theater and cinema. He has notably composed the original scores of several famous films such as "Les Misérables" (1992), "The Phantom of the Opera" (1995), "Moulin Rouge" (2001), "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" (2003), "The Da Vinci Code" (2006) and "Sherlock Holmes" (2009). He has also composed for television series such as "The Tudors" and "The Borgias". In 2013, he signed the music for the film "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug".
