Raphael Mayers, born October 10, 1989, is a French-Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his work with electronic music duo The Cataracs and as a solo artist.
Mayers was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He began his musical career as a member of hip hop group The Cataracs, which he formed with Niles Hollowell-Dhar in Berkeley, California, in 2006. The group was signed to Universal Republic Records in 2009 and released their first album, We Are The Cataracs, in 2010. The album peaked at number 54 on the Billboard 200.
The Cataracs' second album, Top of the World, was released in 2012 and featured the single "Like a G6," which peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. The group disbanded in 2013 and Mayers began working as a solo artist.
Mayers' first solo single, "Get Away," was released in 2014. His first solo album, Raphael, was released in 2015.
Mayers has also produced songs for other artists, including Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, and Lil Wayne.
