Rank 1 is a Dutch trance music duo consisting of Piet Bervoets and Benno de Goeij. The two artists began working together in 1998 and released their first single, "Airwave," in 1999. This title was an immediate success and became a classic of the genre. In 2001, they released their second single, "Symfo," which was even more successful than the previous one. They have since released several other singles and albums, and have collaborated with numerous other trance music artists. Rank 1 is considered one of the pioneers of trance music, and their influence is still felt in the current trance scene.
