BIOGRAPHY
Peter Dafnous is a French music artist born in 1967. He began his career playing guitar in Paris jazz clubs during the 1980s. In 1990, he formed the Peter Dafnous Quartet with trumpeter Olivier Hutman, bassist Marc Buronfosse, and drummer François Moutin, with whom he recorded two albums, "First Light" (1991) and "Second Light" (1992).
In 1994, Dafnous joined the jazz fusion group "Magma" as guitarist and keyboardist, recording four albums with the group: "Köhntarkösz" (1994), "Merci" (1996), "K.A" (1998) and "Rétrovision" (2000).
Subsequently, he formed the "Peter Dafnous Group" with trumpeter Erik Truffaz, bassist Pierre-Yves Sorin, and drummer Marc Buronfosse, and recorded two albums, "Babel" (2002) and "Nomad" (2004).
As a producer and arranger, he has collaborated with numerous artists, including Françoise Hardy, Miossec, Arthur H, Thomas Dutronc, and Alain Bashung.
In 2009, Dafnous joined the French rock group "Les Wampas" as guitarist and keyboardist, recording three albums with the band: "Tout est permis" (2009), "C'est tout pour le moment" (2010) and "Tout est permis pour les Wampas" (2012).
He then formed the "Peter Dafnous Trio" with bassist Pierre-Yves Sorin and drummer Marc Buronfosse, and recorded an album, "The Journey" (2014).
Peter Dafnous resides and works in Paris.
