Paul Connolly is an Irish musician and music producer. Born in Dublin, Ireland, he grew up in southern France and studied music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. He later studied jazz at the University of California, Southern California, before returning to France to pursue his musical career. Connolly has worked with numerous artists, including Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Dizzy Gillespie, Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, Lee Konitz, Gerry Mulligan, Paul Desmond, and Bill Evans. He has also recorded several solo albums and with his trio. Connolly is regarded as one of the top jazz guitarists of his generation.
