BIOGRAPHY
Paul Allen is an American musical artist born on January 21, 1953 in Seattle, Washington. He began his career playing blues and rock and roll in Seattle clubs. In 1977, he formed the progressive rock group Gorgonzola, which released two albums before disbanding in 1981. Subsequently, Allen joined the jazz-fusion group Zebra, which released three albums between 1982 and 1985. In 1986, he founded the rock group The Paul Allen Band, which released two albums before disbanding in 1991. Allen then pursued a solo career, releasing six albums between 1992 and 2006. In 2007, he joined the rock group Pearl Jam as bassist, replacing Matt Cameron. He played with Pearl Jam until 2018, when he left the group to focus on his solo career.
