Octagen was a Danish psytrance project consisting of Jesper Olesen and Anders Lundqvist. The duo was signed to the British label Perfecto Fluoro. Octagen was formed in 1998 and released their first track, "Renaissance", on the Future Grooves compilation album the following year. The duo's first album, Metamorphosis, was released in 2000. Octagen's music is characterized by its use of melody and emotion, as well as its focus on the psychedelic experience. The duo cited influences from a variety of genres, including classical music, jazz, and rock. Octagen performed at festivals and clubs around the world, including Glastonbury, Boom, and Full Moon.
