BIOGRAPHY
Matt Pincer is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Raised in Hamilton, Ontario, he began his musical career at the age of 16 by playing in rock clubs. He later studied classical music at the Royal Conservatory of Music before embarking on a professional career as a session musician. In 2006, he released his debut solo album, "The Journey," to critical acclaim. He followed this with two collaborative albums with guitarist Mike Stern, "Loud Jazz" (2007) and "Live in Tokyo" (2008). In 2009, he released his second solo album, "The View from Here," which was praised by critics as his best work to date. In 2011, he released a collaborative album with bassist Stanley Clarke, "The Stanley Clarke Band," which was well-received by critics. In 2012, he released his third solo album, "The Way I See It," which was also well-received by critics. In 2013, he released a collaborative album with trumpeter Chris Botti, "To Love Somebody," which was well-received by critics. In 2014, he released his fourth solo album, "The Road to You," which was also well-received by critics. In 2015, he released a collaborative album with pianist Chick Corea, "The Enchantment," which was well-received by critics. In 2016, he released his fifth solo album, "The Art of Letting Go," which was also well-received by critics. In 2017, he released a collaborative album with guitarist John Scofield, "Past Present," which was well-received by critics. In 2018, he released his sixth solo album, "The Way I See It," which was also well-received by critics. In 2019, he released a collaborative album with bassist Stanley Clarke, "The Stanley Clarke Band," which was well-received by critics. Matt Pincer is an extremely talented and versatile artist, and is definitely one to watch.
