Matias Holmberg

Matias Holmberg is a Swedish musical artist born in 1983. He grew up playing classical music before studying jazz and composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. In 2007, he released his debut solo album, "First Light".

In 2009, Holmberg founded the jazz trio "The Fulfillment", with which he released two albums, "The Fulfillment" (2009) and "The Journey" (2011). The trio disbanded in 2012, and Holmberg then focused on his solo career.

In 2014, he released his second solo album, "The Way Home", which was well received by critics and was named "Best Swedish Jazz Album of the Year" by the Swedish music magazine "Musikguiden i P3".

Currently based in Stockholm with his wife and two children, Holmberg continues to work on his music and plans to release a new album in 2019.
