BIOGRAPHY
Mark Versluis is a Dutch musical artist. He began his career playing piano and guitar in jazz clubs in Rotterdam. He later studied composition and electroacoustic music at the University of California, San Diego. After graduating, he returned to the Netherlands where he worked as a freelance composer and musician.
Versluis has composed music for various ensembles, soloists, singers, as well as for films and television shows. He has also released several solo albums, including "The Space Between" (2006), "The Blue Hour" (2008), and "Invisible Cities" (2011).
In 2013, he launched the "The Electric City" concert series, featuring electronic music and film projections, which was presented in several countries including the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, and Japan.
In 2016, he created the sound and visual installation "The City of Dreams", presented in several European cities. He also launched "The Invisible City", a series of concerts and sound and visual events presented in several countries.
In 2017, he initiated the project "The Future of Memory", a series of concerts and sound and visual events presented in several countries.
In 2018, he launched the project "The City of Light", a series of concerts and sound and visual events presented in several countries.
