BIOGRAPHY
Mark Arbor is an electronic music and techno artist from Detroit, Michigan, USA. Born in 1977, he began his musical career playing drums in a local hardcore punk band before turning to techno music, influenced by renowned DJs such as Derrick May and Jeff Mills. In 1995, he began producing his own techno music and founded his own label, Submerged Records, in 2000. Arbor has released several albums and singles under his own name as well as under the pseudonyms of Mark Arboretum and Mark Arborist, and his tracks have been played by famous DJs such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier and John Digweed. He has also remixed tracks for artists such as Plastikman, Jeff Mills and Derrick May. Unfortunately, in 2009, Arbor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away on July 18, 2010 at the age of 33.
