BIOGRAPHY
Marco Torrance is a Franco-Canadian musical artist born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1977. He grew up in France and studied music at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux. After obtaining his degree, he pursued further musical studies at the University of Montreal, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in music, and then studied jazz at McGill University.
Marco began his musical career in France, performing in jazz clubs in Paris, before coming to Canada to play in jazz clubs in Montreal. In 2003, he released his first album, "Jazz à la Française". Since then, he has released seven albums, including "Nouvelle Vague" (2006), "Le Temps d'un Instant" (2008) and "Bord de l'eau" (2010). His albums have been critically acclaimed and have been played on jazz radio stations around the world.
Marco Torrance is recognized as one of the best jazz guitarists of his generation. He has collaborated with many jazz greats such as Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, Wayne Shorter, Joe Lovano, Dave Douglas, Joshua Redman, and many more.
