Majera is a contemporary classical and new-age musician. She studied classical music at Beijing University and later pursued contemporary music studies at the University of Montreal. She was a member of the Montreal Contemporary Music Ensemble before founding her own ensemble, the Majera Ensemble. She has also participated in the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and was a member of the Montreal Chamber Orchestra. Majera has also taught music at the University of Montreal and McGill University.
