Mahmud Sherif (born October 10, 1988) is a Syrian-American musician and composer. Born in Damascus, Syria, he began playing the piano at the age of five. Sherif moved to the United States in 2001 and studied composition and musical theory at the University of California, Southern California. He has composed music for film, television, and video games, and his work has been featured on NPR, the BBC, and in the New York Times.
