Lenka Kripac, known as Lenka, is an Australian singer and actress, famous for her song "The Show", from her self-titled album Lenka.
Lenka was born in 1978 in the Moravian-Silesian region of the Czech Republic and moved to Australia with her family as a child. She began her career as an actress, appearing in various Australian television shows and films. In 2000, she made her professional stage debut in the play Summer of the Seventeenth Doll.
In 2006, Lenka began working on her first self-titled album, which was released in 2008. The first single from the album, "The Show," was a success in Australia, reaching the top 10 of the ARIA singles chart. The song was later used in a commercial for the television series Grey's Anatomy, which contributed to its popularity in the United States. Lenka's second album, Two, was released in 2011.
