Kirsty Hawkshaw is a British singer, songwriter, and electronic music producer, born on December 10, 1966, in Birmingham, England. She began her career as a singer for the new wave group Opus III, before embarking on a solo career and collaborating with renowned artists such as BT, Sasha, and Orbital. She has also lent her voice to several film soundtracks, including Blade II and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. In 2010, Hawkshaw formed the duo Kirsty Hawkshaw Meets Tenishia with Maltese DJ and producer Joven Grech. Together, they released their first album, "Everything Is Changing," in 2011.
