Kensington

BIOGRAPHY

Kensington is a Dutch rock band formed in 2013 in Utrecht. It consists of Eloi Youssef (singing, guitar), Casper Starreveld (guitar), Niles Vandenberg (bass) and Jan Haker (drums).

Their music, a mix of rock, pop and indie, draws inspiration from groups such as The Beatles, Foo Fighters, Oasis and Kings of Leon. They have released two studio albums, "Borders" (2015) and "Control" (2017), as well as an EP, "Rivals" (2016).

The group's popularity began to grow in 2014 with the single "Borders", followed by hits like "War" and "Rivals". In 2016, they signed with the famous record label Universal Music and released their first studio album, "Borders", to critical acclaim and topping the Dutch charts.

Their second album, "Control", was released in 2017 and met with the same success, also reaching the top of the Dutch charts. The group has also toured abroad, performing in Germany, Belgium and France.

In 2018, Kensington was nominated in two categories at the Dutch Grammy Awards, "Album of the Year" and "Band of the Year", and was also nominated for the Edison Award, one of the most prestigious music awards in the Netherlands.

Kensington is currently on tour in Europe to promote their latest album, "Control".
