Jean-Pierre Louveton, also known as JPL, is a French musician born on July 28, 1963, in Paris.
After studying classical piano and electronic music, JPL ventured into pop and rock music by playing in various bands before establishing his own recording studio.
In 1992, he released his first solo album, "JPL", followed by "Songs from a Room" in 1994.
In 1996, JPL collaborated with French singer Jean-Louis Aubert on the album "Osez Joséphine".
In 1998, he released the album "Electricity", followed by "Aux portes du ciel" in 2000.
In 2003, JPL collaborated with the French band Téléphone on the album "Un autre monde".
In 2006, he released the album "Songs from the 6th Floor", followed by "Songs from the 7th Floor" in 2008.
In 2010, JPL collaborated with French singer Calogero on the album "Les feux d'artifice".
In 2012, he released the album "Songs from the 8th Floor".
In 2014, JPL collaborated with French singer Julien Clerc on the album "Hippocampus".
In 2016, JPL released the album "Songs from the 9th Floor".
In 2018, JPL collaborated with French singer Thomas Dutronc on the album "Encore".
JPL is regarded as one of the best French musicians of his generation. His albums have been critically acclaimed and he has won numerous awards, including two Victoires de la Musique.
