BIOGRAPHY
Joop (born December 21, 1966) is a Dutch musician, record producer, and DJ. He is best known for his work in the field of electronic music.
Born in The Hague, Netherlands, Joop began his DJ career in the early 1980s, performing in clubs in the Netherlands and Belgium. He later became a resident DJ at the famous Rotterdam club, the Roxy. In the late 1980s, he began producing his own music, and his first single, "You Make Me Feel So Good," was released in 1988.
In the early 1990s, Joop gained recognition as a dance music producer, with his tracks "The Future" and "Stimulation" becoming international hits. He also produced the album World in Motion for British group The Shamen, which was successful with the single "Ebeneezer Goode."
In the mid-1990s, Joop began focusing on the production of trance music, and his single "The Power of Love" became a global hit in 1996. Since then, he has produced several other trance hits, including "Fires of Love" and "The Wave."
Joop has also released several mix albums, including Mixmag Live! Volume 3 and Trance Nation 3. He has also remixed tracks for several artists, including Madonna, Britney Spears, and Kylie Minogue.
