BIOGRAPHY
Jon Obir is a music producer, DJ, and remixer based in Los Angeles, California. He began his career as a DJ and house and techno music producer in Detroit clubs. In 2000, he co-founded the techno and house music label Minus 5 Records with his friend and colleague DJ Richie Hawtin. In 2003, he launched his own music label, Obir Recordings. In 2006, he released his first solo album, "The Future Is Now," which received critical acclaim. In 2007, he remixed Madonna's single "Sorry" for her album "Confessions on a Dance Floor." In 2009, he released his second solo album, "The Future Was Yesterday."
