Johan Ekman is a Swedish electronic music artist, born in 1977. He began his musical career playing guitar in a rock band called "Mantra", before turning to electronic music in the mid-1990s. Since then, he has released several albums and performed in numerous clubs and festivals around the world. In 2006, Ekman founded the electronic music label "Tone Diary Recordings", which has released albums by several artists such as Robert Nickson, Tom Cloud and Sean Tyas. He has also collaborated with numerous other artists, including Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren and Tiësto. Ekman is known for his trance and progressive productions, as well as remixes of classic tracks. His tracks have been played by many DJs and he has been included in several compilations, such as "A State of Trance Yearmix 2006" and "Trance Nation America 2007". In 2008, Ekman released his first solo album, "First Light", which was well received by critics. He has also released several singles and remixes, such as "Breathe", "Waiting for the Sun" and "In the Moment". Ekman continues to tour and release new musical productions. He is considered one of the best electronic music artists of his generation.
