Jarbs

BIOGRAPHY

Jarbs is a French electronic music artist. He is best known for his work as part of the duo Daft Punk, where he was one half of the team that created the distinctive sound of the group. Born in Paris in 1974, Jarbs began his career as a DJ and producer in the early 1990s. He gained recognition as a member of the French house group Les Rythmes Digitales. In 1995, he partnered with Thomas Bangalter to form Daft Punk. The duo quickly gained fame in the electronic music scene, thanks in part to their innovative and catchy music. Daft Punk's breakthrough came with their 1997 album Homework, which spawned the hits "Da Funk" and "Around the World". The album established the duo as one of the most popular electronic music acts in the world. Daft Punk's second album, Discovery, was even more successful, with the hits "One More Time" and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". The album solidified the duo's status as international superstars. In 2005, Daft Punk released their third album, Human After All. The album received mixed reviews, but still produced the hit single "Robot Rock". In 2007, Daft Punk released their fourth album, Alive 2007. The album was a live recording of the duo's highly successful concert tour of the same name. In 2010, Daft Punk released their fifth and most recent album to date, Random Access Memories. The album was a critical and commercial success, winning five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. In addition to his work with Daft Punk, Jarbs has also worked as a producer for other artists, including Madonna, The Strokes, and Phoenix. Aside from his work with Daft Punk, Jarbs has released two solo albums, Crydajam in 1997 and IRM in 2007. He has also directed two films, Electroma in 2006 and Diorama in 2010.
