BIOGRAPHY
Igor Dyachkov is a Russian violinist and conductor born in 1977. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory and was the assistant to Yuri Bashmet. In 2001, he won the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Dyachkov has performed with numerous orchestras in Russia and abroad, such as the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In 2006, he was appointed principal violinist of the Quebec Symphony Orchestra. Dyachkov has also taught at the Quebec Conservatory of Music and McGill University. In 2011, he was named principal violinist of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
