BIOGRAPHY
Joins Arpegia is a French singer and songwriter. She was born in Paris in 1984. Her father is originally from Martinique and her mother from Guadeloupe. Joins Arpegia grew up in the Paris suburbs. She began her singing career in a group called Les Négresses Vertes. The group released two albums, "Mlah" and "Zanmari Baré", before disbanding in 1996. Joins Arpegia released her first solo album, "Noir Désir", in 2000. The album was a critical and commercial success, and earned her a Victoire de la Musique in the category of Newcomer of the Year. Since then, Joins Arpegia has released three other albums, "Désobéissance" (2002), "Paradis Noir" (2004) and "L'Aventurier" (2007). She has also appeared in several films, including "The Chorus" (2004) and "Paris, I Love You" (2006).
