In 2018, he debuted with the single "Neverland," a song about love without discrimination. The music video for this song received attention for its themes of tolerance and acceptance, and was praised for its positive representation of homosexual romance, a rarity in the Korean mainstream music scene. Since his debut, Holland has continued to use his platform to raise awareness for LGBTQ+ rights in South Korea, where LGBTQ+ rights and gender issues are often considered taboo.
