BIOGRAPHY
Simon Posford, better known by his stage name Hallucinogen, is a British electronic music producer. He is most recognized for his work in the psytrance genre and is considered one of the pioneers of the genre. Posford was born in London, England, and began his musical career as a member of the group The Shamen. He left the group in 1995 to focus on his solo project, Hallucinogen. Posford's first album, Twisted, was released in 1995. The album was well received and helped establish Posford as a leading figure in the psytrance scene. His second album, In the Mouth of the Beast, was released in 1997 and was even more successful than his first, solidifying Posford's reputation as a top psytrance producer. Posford has released four other albums under the name Hallucinogen and has also released music under the aliases Shpongle and Younger Brother. He currently resides in England.
