BIOGRAPHY
Fabio Stein is a French musical artist born in Paris in 1966. Coming from a family of musicians, he began his career playing piano in the city's jazz clubs. In 1985, he had the opportunity to perform with jazz guitarist Pat Metheny at the Montreux Jazz Festival, an experience that was recorded and released on the album "Offramp".
Subsequently, Fabio Stein collaborated with numerous renowned artists in the jazz world such as Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Wynton Marsalis. In 1994, he released his first solo album titled "Fabio Stein", followed by several others like "The Paris Sessions" (1996), "Live at the Blue Note" (1998) and "Solo Piano" (2000).
Fabio Stein is also recognized for his collaborations with classical music artists such as violinist Joshua Bell and pianist Lang Lang. In 2009, he released the album "The Stein-Bell Project" recorded in duo with Bell. In 2012, it was the album "The Stein-Lang Project" in collaboration with Lang that came out.
Currently residing in Paris with his wife and two children, Fabio Stein continues to play piano and teach jazz at the École Normale de Musique in the city.
