Wagner "Wag" Gomes da Silva, better known as DJ Wag, is a Brazilian DJ and electronic music producer born on July 5, 1970, in Rio de Janeiro. DJ Wag began his career in 1985, performing in Rio de Janeiro's clubs. In 1988, he was introduced to the international public at the World Dance Music Conference in Miami. In 1992, he released his first single, "The Edge of Time," which became a hit in Europe. In 1994, he published his first album, "The Journey." DJ Wag is considered one of the pioneers of electronic music in Brazil. He was the first Brazilian DJ to be signed by a major American label, and he was the first Brazilian DJ to perform at the prestigious Glastonbury music festival in the UK. DJ Wag is also recognized for his remixes. He has remixed songs for artists such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and Ricky Martin.
