"Dan Winter is an American composer and musician, born on March 28, 1953, in New York. He grew up in the Queens neighborhood and studied music at New York University. After obtaining his degree, he began his career by performing in jazz clubs in New York.
Later, Dan Winter worked as a freelance musician, recording albums for numerous artists. In 1983, he released his first solo album titled 'New York Nights'. He also composed music for the film 'The Cotton Club' and the television series 'Miami Vice'. In 2001, Dan Winter released his most recent album, 'The Blue Hour'. He currently resides in New York."
