BIOGRAPHY
Costa Pantazis is a composer and producer of classical and contemporary music. He studied composition with Christopher Rouse and John Corigliano at Columbia University, as well as with Aaron Jay Kernis and John Adams at Yale University. His works have been performed worldwide by prestigious ensembles such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, and New York Philharmonic. In 2012, Costa was named Composer-in-Residence with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. His compositions have been conducted by renowned conductors such as James Levine, Leonard Bernstein, Michael Tilson Thomas, David Robertson, Alan Gilbert, John Adams, David Zinman, Andrey Boreyko, Marin Alsop, Neeme Järvi, Leonard Slatkin, Edo de Waart, Hans Graf, Robert Spano, Michael Tilson Thomas, Osmo Vänskä, and Yuri Temirkanov.
