Chris Turner is a contemporary music artist born in England in 1965. He studied music at the University of York before becoming a teacher in a school in London. In 1991, he joined the rock band The Verve as singer and guitarist. The band achieved international success with their album Urban Hymns in 1997. Chris Turner left the group in 1999 to pursue a solo career. He has released several solo albums, including Love & War in 2006.
