Carl Cox (born July 29, 1962, in Barbados) is a British DJ, house and techno music producer. In the 1980s, Cox was a hardcore/rave DJ and became a key figure in the electronic music industry. He has performed in numerous clubs and events around the world and has been a monthly DJ for the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix show. He runs the Intec Digital music label and Carl Cox & Friends events and stage at the Ultra Music Festival.
