Calvin Harris, real name Adam Richard Wiles, is a Scottish electronic and dance music artist born on January 17, 1984 in Dumfries. He started producing music at the age of 15. His career truly began in 2007, with the release of his first album "I Created Disco", which was a major commercial success in the UK.
In 2009, he released his second album "Ready for the Weekend" which topped the UK charts. He gained international recognition when his singles "Feels So Close" and "We Found Love", a collaboration with Rihanna, reached the top of the charts worldwide in 2011.
In the following years, Calvin Harris became one of the highest-paid DJs in the world, collaborating with artists such as Florence Welch, Ellie Goulding and Sam Smith. His fourth album "Motion" (2014) and his fifth album "Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1" (2017) were both well received by critics and were commercially successful.
He has received numerous awards throughout his career, including several Grammy Awards, and remains one of the major artists in the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) scene to this day.
