Burak Harsitlioglu is a Turkish composer and musician born in Ankara in 1974. He studied classical music at the Ankara Conservatory of Music and later pursued his musical studies in Germany and France. His compositions have been presented at numerous international festivals, such as the Avignon Festival, the Darmstadt Festival of Contemporary Music, the Bourges Electroacoustic Music Festival, the Munich Chamber Music Festival, and the Berlin Film Music Festival. In 2003, he received the Composition Prize from the Prince Pierre de Monaco Foundation for his work "The Space Between Things". Burak Harsitlioglu is recognized as one of the most important Turkish composers of his generation. His creations, which blend influences from Western classical music and traditional Turkish music, explore new forms of musical expression.
