BIOGRAPHY
Bedrock is a French electronic music duo, composed of producers Olivier Giacomotto and John Acquaviva. The duo is best known for their work in the techno and tech house genres.
Bedrock was formed in 1996, when Giacomotto and Acquaviva met while working at the Fnac record store in Paris. The duo began producing music together, and their first release was the track "Bingo" on the Techno Parade 1.0 compilation album.
The duo's first full-length album, Bedrock, was released in 1998. The album was a critical and commercial success, and spawned the hit single "Heaven Scent."
Bedrock's second album, X-treme, was released in 2000. The album was not as successful as its predecessor, but still received positive reviews from critics.
In 2001, Giacomotto and Acquaviva decided to focus on their solo careers, and Bedrock was put on hold. The duo reunited in 2007, and released their third album, 3.0, in 2008.
Bedrock has released four albums and numerous singles and remixes. The duo has also performed live in various clubs and festivals around the world.
